Originally from “The Peach State”, Executive Chef Brad Weideman discovered his love for food at an early age. His passions then led him to the Art Institute of Atlanta where he earned his degree in Culinary Arts. He began his professional career at a famous Atlanta hot spot, Buckhead Diner. Brad then spent 5 years as Sous Chef at McKendrick’s Steak House, where he found his niche in fine dining. It wasn’t long before Brad’s dedication, hard work and talent were recognized. Brad was awarded the title of Executive Chef by well-known restaurants Legal Seafood, Rosa Mexicano, and The Capital Grille, working in Atlanta, Miami, Boca Raton, and Ft. Lauderdale.

Now Chef Weideman has brought his love for luscious steaks and fresh seafood, his passion for using local ingredients, (supporting local farms), combined with his very own fusion style to D.C. Prime, and most importantly, to the delight of our guests!

RICK CROWE

MANAGING PARTNER

Rick Crowe’s track record of success in the food and beverage industry spans over 25 years. In 1993 Rick joined LongHorn Steakhouse in Columbia, South Carolina as a dining room manager. In 1994 the franchise owner of LongHorn Steakhouse, Mr. Bill Dukes, asked Rick to transfer to Charlotte, North Carolina to assist the LongHorn team on Moorehead Street. Later in 1994 Mr. Dukes had begun the development of a new seafood concept in Charlotte, North Carolina and asked Rick to join him as the General Manager of the Blue Marlin. Within eight months Rick was invited by Mr. Dukes to become his partner, and General Manager of the Blue Marlin. By 1998 the Blue Marlin had grown to six locations with restaurants in Charlotte, NC, Columbia, SC, Greensboro, NC, and Richmond, VA. Since that time Rick has been part of the management teams for P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, McKendrick’s Steakhouse in Atlanta, and joined Del Frisco’s Restaurant group as the General Manager of Sullivan’s Steakhouse located in Charlotte, NC.

Upon opening D.C. Prime in July of 2015, Rick has developed an extensive award-winning wine list, (with over 500 bottles), as well as one of the most impressive bourbon offerings in all of the mid-Atlantic region. His stellar reputation for  management training and implementation has been the key ingredient for D.C. Prime to be considered by many as a dining and culinary experience…like no other.

David Tilton

After having served our country for 20 years, which included time in Special Operations and SEAL Team 6, David retired from the United States Navy with honors in 2003 to begin his private career. In 2006, David founded BrimTek Inc., located in Ashburn Virginia, providing consulting and high tech surveillance and intelligence gathering equipment to DoD Special Forces, Intelligence Community and various other federal, state, and local agencies across the country.  Feeding his “need for speed”, David became a winning Indy car chassis owner in 2017 with Andretti Autosport, capturing a thrilling victory in the 101st Indianapolis 500 with driver Takuma Sato!

Since the doors of D.C. Prime first opened, David had been a huge fan of not only the restaurant and its food, but of the people behind the scenes who made every visit a memorable experience. So much so that in 2016 David made the decision to once again be part of a “team”, becoming a partner in D.C. Prime.
